To celebrate World Fair Trade Day on May 11, three documentaries will be screened in the month of May, including The True Cost on May 21 at 7pm. This film is a groundbreaking investigation of fast fashion; revealing that while the price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically.

This screening will be followed by a discussion moderated by IDEAS Comercio Justo with guest speakers Eva Kreisler, Coordinator of the Clean Clothes Campaign in Spain and Marta Lozano, Director of the National Fair Trade Coordinating Committee.

Organized by: Madrid Development NGO Network, IDEAS Comercio Justo and La Casa Encendida.

This series is part of the “Barrios por el Comercio Justo” [Neighbourhoods for Fair Trade] campaign, organized by the IDEAS cooperative with the support of Madrid City Council.
