KXW presents The True Cost
Saturday, April 2, 2016, 1pm
Depot Point, Wicklow Street, King's Cross, London, United Kingdom
Tickets: £6
KXW is hosting a Swap Shop and Documentary Screening on Saturday 2nd April. Bring along 3 – 5 items of your unwanted clothes/shoes/bags, you will get the equivalent number of tickets which you can use to claim new items to take home with you. After the Swapping fun there will be a screening of the documentary The True Cost, which looks at the impact fast fashion is having on our world.
After the Screening, industry expert Keren Long will be giving us an industry perspective on the documentary and leading a conversation about how we, as consumers, can become more conscious and ethical in our shopping habits, and influence change in the industry so that all people and environments involved throughout the clothes making process can be treated fairly, justly, and with care and respect.
Tickets are £6 and available here.
Money raised will be donated to the charity Keren’s new company Ethical Apparel Africa which will manage all the social impact work they do such as eye tests, malaria prevention, women’s health, and financial literacy.
Come along and bring your friends! In the spirit of generosity to each other we encourage you to come and bring items that you maybe no longer wear, but are good quality items. Bless and be blessed!
