The True Cost is a feature length documentary film that explores the impact of fashion on people and the planet.

The word sustainability may bring to mind recycling, the phrase 'save the earth' and the development of greater consciousness in performing everyday activities.

But what if you learned that the clothes you buy and wear are also affecting the planet...and not being sustainable at all?

The True Cost is a riveting documentary about the overwhelming impact the fast fashion industry has on the planet and its people.

Students Allied for a Greener Earth, (SAGE), the University of Illinois Springfield, (UIS), student-led environmental organization, will be hosting this free movie screening for The True Cost on the UIS campus.
