MEPs Jean Lambert, Judith Sargentini and Bart Staes would like to invite you to a panel debate and screening of The True Cost on Wednesday 2nd March at 18.00.

The True Cost highlights the impact of the garment industry on the environment, the workers, and consumers. We have seen the price of clothing falling drastically over the past couple of decades, but have little information about the human and environmental cost. This documentary asks the question: Who is paying the real price of our clothing?

The event will begin with a keynote speech by Safia Minney, founder of People Tree and world renowned Fair Trade advocate, followed by a panel discussion with Safia, Mario Ivekovic, President of the Croatian trade union Novi Sindikat, and Roel Nieuwenkamp, Chair of the OECD working party on responsible business conduct.
