The Mennonite Central Committee presents The True Cost
Tuesday, April 9, 7pm
Mennonite Central Committee, North Newton, Kansas
The Mennonite Central Committee is hosting a screening of The True Cost on April 9 at 7pm. This film is a groundbreaking documentary that pulls back the curtain on the untold story and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing? Filmed in countries all over the world, from the brightest runways to the darkest slums, and featuring interviews with the world's leading influencers including Stella McCartney, Livia Firth, Vandana Shiva and Richard Wolff. The True Cost is an unprecedented project that invites us on an eye-opening journey around the world and into the lives of the many people and places behind our clothes.
Also hear briefly from MCC about how our thrift shop network is working to reduce the harms caused by fast fashion, here and around the world. Light snacks will be provided while you watch the movie.
