Engineers Without Borders Victoria have partnered up with the RMIT Engineers Without Borders and RMIT Fairtrade to present a screening of the powerful and moving documentary The True Cost as a part of Sustainability Week at RMIT. The True Cost is a feature-length documentary that explores impact of fashion the people and planet.

It's a story about clothing. It's about the clothes we wear, the people who make them and the impact this has. The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades while the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically. Filmed in countries all over the world, from the brightest runways to the darkest slums and featuring interviews with the worlds leading influencers: Stella McCartney, Livia Firth and Vandana Shiva among others, The True Cost is an unprecedented project that invites us on an eye opening journey around the world and into the lives of the many people and places behind our clothes.

Join us for pre-screening talks and nibbles at 6.30 pm at Chan Charlie Chan @ RMIT on Level 2 of building 80. We will then move to the cinema room on Level 1 at 7.30 pm for the screening.
