Zero Waste Highland Perthshire presents The True Cost

Friday, March 11, 2016, 5pm
The Birks Cinema, Aberfeldy, Perth and Kinross, Scotland
Tickets: £5

Zero Waste Highland Perthshire will be showing the ground breaking documentary film The True Cost at the Birks Cinema in Aberfeldy at 5pm on Friday, March 11.

The film considers the environmental and social impacts of our 'fast fashion' habits and features interviews with the likes of Stella McCartney and Livia Firth.

Tickets cost £5 with all proceeds going to the Birks Cinema.

This special screening is part of National Pass It On Week Birks Cinema followed an Upcycled Fashion Event on the mezzanine with clothes swap shop.

This is a story about clothing. It's about the clothes we wear, the people who make them, and the impact the industry is having on our world. The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, while the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically. The True Cost is a groundbreaking documentary film that pulls back the curtain on the untold story and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing?
