Join the Ossining Documentary & Discussion Series for a Free Screening and Panel Discussion! Who really pays the price for our clothing? The True Cost is a groundbreaking documentary film that invites us into the lives of the many people and places behind our clothing. The global fashion industry has driven down the price of clothing while increasingly exploiting 40 million garment workers, our environment and its natural resources. Filmed in countries all over the world, from the brightest runways to the darkest slums, and featuring interviews with fashion’s leading influencers including Stella McCartney, Livia Firth and Vandana Shiva, The True Cost teaches us the impact of the clothing we purchase on our environment and the people who make them.
