Napa Valley Film Festival presents The True Cost
Sunday, November 15, 8:30PM
Lincoln Theatre, Yountville, California
Tickets: $15 at the door
Director Andrew Morgan’s provocative new film, The True Cost, explores the impact of the fashion industry on people and the planet. The film is based largely on years of research by London-based journalist Lucy Siegle who wrote the chilling exposé “To Die For: Is Fashion Wearing Out The World?” While the price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, the human and environmental costs continue to grow. Taking us around the world into the lives of those making and selling our clothes, Morgan explores the global damage being done and the ways we are buying into it. The True Cost includes interviews with top voices from the fashion industry as well as prominent human rights and environmental activists. Notable interviews include Stella McCartney, Vandana Shiva, Safia Minney, Sochua Mu & Livia Firth.
