Post-screening discussion and clothes swap

The first "GO GREEN" FREE Sustainable Film Series screening of 2019 tackles a persistent issue: waste in the garment industry. A screening of The True Cost will take place on February 28 at 7pm. This film is a groundbreaking investigation of fast fashion, revealing that while the price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically.

The event on February 28 will begin with solutions. At 5:30pm the doors open for a community clothing swap organized by Tea With Iris owner Leslie Shockley - bring your beloved but no longer worn fashion and trade up for something more interesting. At 6pm sample Organic Wine Exchange varieties with Annie Arnold, with full glasses for purchase. At 7pm, the screening of The True Cost begins, with community conversation and more swapping following the film until 9:30pm.

The film screening is FREE with a suggested donation of $10 for wine tasting & activities.

This screening of The True Cost is hosted by Palm Springs Cultural Center, Certified Farmers' Market, S.C.R.A.P. Gallery, tea with iris and Camelot Theatres.
