Post-screening panel discussion featuring Dr. Jen Ballie, Karen Finlayson, Emily Millichip, and Shirley McLauchlan
In recognition of Fashion Revolution Day 2016 the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation – the UK’s leading low carbon innovation hub – is hosting a FREE screening of the ground-breaking documentary The True Cost.
And for one night only we’ll be turning our unique, energy efficient building into a sustainable fashion market for local makers to showcase their work and add their voice to the conversation on a sustainable and ethical fashion future.
The True Cost pulls back the curtain on the untold story of the fashion industry and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing?
Join us at 6pm for a FREE bike-powered cocktail while you browse the market.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with experts from inside and outside the fashion industry.
SCHEDULE:
6-7: POP UP FUTURE FASHION MARKET with local makers and designers including Aimee Kent, Brora, Kathy Vones, Trakke & TrashFashionistas.
7-8.30: PEDAL-POWERED MOVIE
